Who can afford FOOD FOR THOUGHT?

April 17, 2015

On April 15 voices rose all over the United States from low-wage workers seeking higher wages held protests – participants included Home Health Aids, Food Service Workers, Child Care Workers, and many, many more… too many more.

After a little bit of online research, I composed the following list which should show a little bit about the struggle most American workers have in 2015 to make ends meet. I chose (at random) five occupations and five locations. I used an average 2 adult/2 child family for cost of living. I did not include the cost of education and training as some of these professions require.

Take a look at the following and think about the obstacles facing the average and productive American. An added note, not one of the five professions can afford a single salary to support a family of four.
